Wow, I am so late on this post. But you know #momlife
This past December 25th was the best Christmas I have ever had, hands down. Having a family for the holidays makes it a million times better. Watching my daughter open her gifts and smiling so big, made my whole life.
When Mads opened her gifts she tore them apart! She didn't want the paper she wanted the gifts, definitely my kid. We got her a ton of clothes and toys, it was a little over the top in my opinion, but the whole month of December anytime we went to the store I bought her so many gifts, I was just so so excited!
Christmas morning I woke up at 7am, and my daughter didn't wake up until 9!! Every thirty minutes I tried to wake her up by rubbing her back and her face, but nope that child loooves her sleep; so she got up when she was ready to get up.
We fed her, changed her, and then headed into the living room and opened gifts. It was so fun watching Christmas unfold through a mothers perspective. It's so different, even though it wasn't so long ago that I was the kid opening the gifts. When you become a parent everything about Christmas is so different, I feel like Jonathan and I both appreciated it so much more. Watching your family open gifts, laugh, and enjoy the whole day is something I wouldn't trade for the world.
Here's some pictures from Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day:
