Lex Loves M

I haven't talked about it much on the blog yet but we are transitioning to plant based and then eventually vegan, it was a big decision for our family but we agreed it was the best for our health and our daughters. I'll make a post about it soon. Anyway, I have always had a sweet tooth especially for brownies, I kid you not I used to eat half a pan in one sitting (don't judge me), so I decided to find a good brownie recipe that I love.

Ten months old, wow. Each month seems shorter and shorter when you have a child, I wish it could all slow down. Watching her grow is so magical, and as the months go on she forms her personality more and more, it's so fun to experience. I can tell though, I am definitely going to have my hands full when she is a toddler, little miss sass.

Valentines Day was never something I participated in until I met Jonathan, and now we celebrate it every year, and I can honestly say I enjoy February 14th now. Flowers, chocolates and lots of kisses are my favorite things, and now we get to celebrate it as a family of three.

Miss Mads is Nine Months old, as I'm writing this I'm holding back a tear or two because of how fast my daughter is growing. I know I say/think this every month but, where is the time going? I swear it was yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital and I was scared to change her clothes because I though I would break her! Now, she's so grown and starting to do things all on her own without moms help, makes me sad.
First of all, I know it's a little late but Happy New Year! I hope you guys all had an amazing year, and are ready for 2018, because I know I am! This past year has been the most wonderful year I have ever had; I had my daughter, got engaged to my best friend, got our first house together and started back to school.

A lot changed this year, and I am grateful for each change, both good and bad. Everything that has happened in my life has led me to this point, and I wouldn't change a thing. I have a daughter that I love with my whole heart and a great fiancé who treats both M and I like we are the entire world. I've been blessed with the best life.

Now I want to take a second to reflect a little on this past year:
Wow, I am so late on this post. But you know #momlife

This past December 25th was the best Christmas I have ever had, hands down. Having a family for the holidays makes it a million times better. Watching my daughter open her gifts and smiling so big, made my whole life.

When Mads opened her gifts she tore them apart! She didn't want the paper she wanted the gifts, definitely my kid. We got her a ton of clothes and toys, it was a little over the top in my opinion, but the whole month of December anytime we went to the store I bought her so many gifts, I was just so so  excited!

Christmas morning I woke up at 7am, and my daughter didn't wake up until 9!! Every thirty minutes I tried to wake her up by rubbing her back and her face, but nope that child loooves her sleep; so she got up when she was ready to get up.

We fed her, changed her, and then headed into the living room and opened gifts. It was so fun watching Christmas unfold through a mothers perspective. It's so different, even though it wasn't so long ago that I was the kid opening the gifts. When you become a parent everything about Christmas is so different, I feel like Jonathan and I both appreciated it so much more. Watching your family open gifts, laugh, and enjoy the whole day is something I wouldn't trade for the world.

Here's some pictures from Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day:

Hope you guys all had a wonderful Christmas!

Last night was Christmas Eve Ever, one of my favorite days because its the day before Christmas Eve! The excitement for Christmas is in full effect, and everyone is so happy, it makes for a great day. We spent the evening wrapping gifts, drinking egg nog with Baileys (which wasn't very tasty in my opinion, but tis the season right?) and dancing around to Christmas music.
